Halong Bay Wedding: Thu Ha and David

Last weekend Aidan got about four hours sleep, between shooting and traveling he was working almost 40 hours to photograph a wedding in Halong Bay and an an hoi in Hanoi before capturing Vietnam’s football team making history in The Suzuki Cup. First up was David and Thu Ha’s lovely ceremony on board a junk boat in Halong Bay.

Unfortunately, the weather was wet.  On a good day, Halong Bay is a breathtaking spectacal, on a rainy day, the fog rolls in and the magnificent scenery is completely obscured. Luckily, David, Thu Ha and the rest of the wedding party were in good spirits, and had a wonderful time on board. Why let a little weather ruin a wonderful day?

Quyen - I’m a Vietnamese and I can’t help but went through all of your pictures. They are beautiful, both the couples and the natural sceneries. Vietnam is such a beautiful place, I love it. I have been to Ha long Bay once, in fact, I have been too all places that you took pictures of. I love your pictures and certainly will comeback for more. Thank you for these wonderful images of vietnam and its people.

Julian Abram Wainwright - Hi Quyen. Thank you for your kind words. There really are so many beautiful locations in Vietnam, and we are always looking for new ones that we haven’t worked at before.

Thanks again!

Julian

John Ryan Recabar - I’m a student in Vietnam, but I’m going back to my country next week. I’m going to miss Vietnam. Wedding pictures always remind me Hanoi because the city seemed to be obsessed with weddings.

Julian Abram Wainwright - Yep, Hanoi (and all of Vietnam) is wedding-obsessed. One of the visual quirks I love here.
